These are activities currently being run at the Dandenong Bible Education Centre.
Many parents worry about where their children play these days. Maybe it is unsafe to let them play on their own by the creek, but they still want a chance to explore. We have the answer! Let your children explore the best book in the world in the safety of our “Bible Explorers” classes. The best-selling book, the Bible, is the basis for classes, which are designed for primary-school aged children. Lessons include songs, drama, activity and colouring sheets and enjoyment. Classes are small so each child can receive individual attention. Small prizes encourage regular attendance. Parents can stay on site for the New Life Class at the same time – learn about the Bible as a family!
Learn about the life of Jesus! This term begins with the age-old story of the birth of Jesus. Parables and miracles are included in the topics and are learnt through storytelling, craft, drama and discussion.

Topic: Josiah
Josiah was a Jewish king in the seventh century BC who brought about major reforms in the country of Israel, which had turned to idolatry and wickedness. He showed the people how to worship God properly. We too can learn from Josiah how to improve our relationship, or start a relationship, with the God of the universe.
The following sessions are planned:
Friday 6:30pm dinner, 8:00pm study (contact us for venue)
Saturday 4:30pm study, 6:00pm dinner, 7:30pm study
Sunday 11:30am New Life Class, 1:00pm lunch
Babies and children from newborn to preschool age can come to play and learn in a safe and relaxed environment with their parent, grandparent or carer. Playgroup leaders provide a variety of activities including craft, singing, music and Bible stories. Morning tea for adults and children is also provided.
Optional: a gold coin donation each week would be appreciated, to cover costs of morning tea and playgroup facilities.

So your children can have fun doing Bible-based activities, while you enjoy your own Bible education.
There is no need to enrol in these classes – just come along and join in. Tea and coffee are available before each class, and you are welcome to stay for lunch after the class.
Events around the world today, especially in the Middle East and Jerusalem, make the utterances of Jesus about the future very meaningful. It is true that the world (as we know it) will end, but it is an “end” that will herald a new beginning. Don’t miss this special 4 week course.
Interested in how a Christian should live and how to find God's basic rules for life? This course is aimed directly at practical Christianity – how Jesus wants to affect the way we live. Jesus said that we can be his friends if we do what he commands us, so let's find out what that means for our day-to-day life.
This 8-week course covers topics such as humility and pride, favouritism, mercy, faith and deeds, and taming the tongue.
Would you like to learn what the Bible is all about? Would you like to do it in a friendly environment? With other women?
We invite all women to come and learn about the Bible in a friendly and relaxed way. Our classes are informal and include Bible reading, discussion and workshop activities. Each week we will look at a new story and seek to understand the message in the story.
The class is suitable both for the absolute beginner who has never heard the stories in the Bible before and for the committed Christian who would like to be challenged in their Bible study. We welcome women of all ages, all faiths and all backgrounds, as all participants are expected to be considerate of these differences.
Studies this term will be around the life and writing of the very wise King Solomon. We will look briefly at his life and then overview the books of Proverbs and Ecclesiastes. Solomon will teach us the importance of wisdom in our everyday life.
Come along for a term of discovery together!

Join us for an interesting look inside the Dandenong Bible Education Centre. Open Day is planned for Saturday October 11 from 11am-2pm and will have a focus on mission work overseas. This is your opportunity to find out more about what is being done to help those in underprivileged countries to learn about the life-saving message of the Bible. While finding out about this work, share some food with us and talk to people who love the Bible and want to share God’s message of hope with others. Activities will be available for children to join in with too. We look forward to meeting you.
How wonderful it would be to see some of the social and legal provisions of the Bible's Law of Moses operating today in Australia.
Over 4 sessions we'll look at how the poor were looked after and the well off had obligations to others. In every way the law revealed God's mercy and justice, and led the godly person in His way. Jesus combined so much of the law into – "Love your neighbour as yourself."
