Correspondence Course

Sessions:

“Walk in” correspondence course – or by mail

Now two correspondence courses are available for those who can’t attend regular classes. “God’s Master Plan”, an 8 lesson course, is an introduction to the good news of God’s Master Plan. It explores the faith and obedience that God requires from those wanting to share in his wonderful plan for the earth. “Learning about your Bible” has 14 lessons which help you understand the Bible and God’s offer of salvation to you. Exploring the Bible is an exciting adventure – these courses assist!

These correspondence courses can be done by mail, but help is also available for you from the shop staff between 10am and 2pm Monday to Friday. We recommend you come in and have your answers marked on the spot so that you can discuss anything you do not understand. You can have all the advantages of a correspondence course and a personal tutor!

Bible Explorers

Children want to be explorers!

Many parents worry about where their children play these days. Maybe it is unsafe to let them play on their own by the creek, but they still want a chance to explore. We have the answer! Let your children explore the best book in the world in the safety of our “Bible Explorers” classes. The best-selling book, the Bible, is the basis for classes, which are designed for primary-school aged children. Lessons include songs, drama, activity and colouring sheets and enjoyment. Classes are small so each child can receive individual attention. Small prizes encourage regular attendance. Parents can stay on site for the New Life Class at the same time – learn about the Bible as a family!

During the third term of 2008, we will be exploring the life of the Bible character Moses.

Classes run on Sundays from 11.30am - 12.30pm. God willing, Term 3 sessions will start on the 13th of July.

None of these diseases

Course start date:
Tuesday, 8th July, 2008
Time:
11:00am - 12:00pm
Course runs:
Fortnightly
Sessions:

Leader:
Peter and Meryl

When Israel escaped from Egypt 3400 years ago, God promised them that none of the diseases of Egypt would afflict them. God could have worked miracles to achieve this promise but instead he gave them a marvellous law of health and hygiene, and knowledge ahead of their time. So much so that we're sure they never understood some of it, but did appreciate that it worked.

In this fortnightly course of 4 sessions several superb examples will be chosen to show that the law of Moses was indeed a law from God.

Thursday, 24th July, 2008
Time:
10:30am - 12:00pm
Course runs:
Weekly
Leader:

Would you like to learn what the Bible is all about? Would you like to do it in a friendly environment? With other women?

We invite all women to come and learn about the Bible in a friendly and relaxed way. Our classes are informal and include Bible reading, discussion and workshop activities. Each week we will look at a new story and seek to understand the message in the story.

The class is suitable both for the absolute beginner who has never heard the stories in the Bible before and for the committed Christian who would like to be challenged in their Bible study. We welcome women of all ages, all faiths and all backgrounds, as all participants are expected to be considerate of these differences.

This term we are planning to study three smaller New Testament books: James, 1 Timothy and 2 Timothy, as well as spending one week reading and discussing some famous Psalms. We normally enjoy a shared lunch together at noon.

Come along for a term of discovery together!

There is no need to sign up for these classes – just come along!
